Today I finished working on a painting that required me to rinse my brush under running water 137 times. It takes me 51 steps to get to the nearest sink in the building that houses my studio. That means it took me 13947 steps to paint the lines of my latest painting. For somebody of my height, 13947 steps amounts to 10.76 kilometers.
Now my question is, when is the last time you heard somebody mention the lengths they went through to make their work and meant it in a literal way?
